We did it!!!
I am finally Mrs. Kelsey Reed : )
Taylor and I have been married for over two weeks and are loving every second, besides the seconds that we are at work and not with each other of course.
Our wedding day was perfect. I was up 5:15 doing my hair ( Momma was up before me and was so surprised I had only Just woken up, she was clearly unaware that I only had 3 hours of sleep because I was so excited!). We left for the Temple at 7:40 and arrived 5 minutes late (eek!), but when I walked through the temple doors there was Taylor waiting patiently, handsome as ever with the sweetest smile on his face.
President Huls performed the Sealing Ordinance, he used to be a bishop of mine years ago. The comments he made were wonderful and inspiring and they helped to calm my nerves! If you were wondering, yes, I cried, Taylor cried, parents cried - there was a lot of crying, like I said, the day was perfect!
Even though it is August and should be hot (do you hear that August?? HOT) the morning was cool and comfortable and we breezed through family pictures and onto the Luncheon. Our photographer, Christy (christymariephotography.blogspot.com) was so great! we had so much fun with her and were able to take all of the pix we wanted. We took most of our pix the day before, the ones of just Tay and I, Christy found us some awesome locations. We had a blast! Thanks Christy!!
Taylor's mom put on the Luncheon and it was just what we had hoped :) bright and fun and tasty food. We went around the room and people stood up and told stories about Taylor and I, gave advice, introduced themselves. And then we watched a slideshow of us growing up that Tay put together, which was the perfect ending to our day.
...well I guess it didn't end there ;) Taylor and I stayed at the Destinations Inn over there in Idaho Falls, in their New York themed room. We had such a relaxing time, which was much needed as we had to drive all the way back to Boise the next day and then drive from Boise the day after, back to IF and up to Island Park for our week long honeymoon (more pix and stories coming soon).
We are now back in Boise working for a couple more weeks before we move into our apartment over in Rexburg. And the house is Full, let me tell you! Rach has to sleep on the couch for the whole seven week break as there is no open room! (we did offer her a mattress, but she didn't want to deal with it) In a three bedroom home we have Mom, Dad, Kyle, Staci, Taylor, Kelsey, and Rachel - then Ben (Rach's BF) is coming to visit this weekend - whew!!
But we are loving it. Tay and I are so happy to be married and in the same bed. No more goodbyes at 11 p.m., pulling at eachother to stay longer. No more parents telling us to be careful, no more needing to be careful :) I know that we are trading those trials for new ones, but I am so happy that those few are past and that I get to wake up to Taylor every morning and here "Goodmorning baby, how did you sleep?" And then the day begins like always and we have to separate and go to work, but I know that when I get home tonight Taylor will be waiting for me with open arms in Our home.
xoxo!
